Barco Launches 30-inch Rugged Display for Mobile Ground Control Stations
Kortrijk, Belgium; September 4, 2009. Visualization company Barco has announced the addition of a new 30-inch wide-screen display to its family of rugged HD displays According to the company, the high-resolution HD-30 is the largest ergonomically efficient single-operator display on the defense market today. It is qualified for a ground control station environment.
The HD-30 provides WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution, allowing operators to perform accurate mission planning and present digital maps in their native format. The HD-30's response time allows fast-moving images to be reproduced with accuracy, while the display's wide viewing angle is convenient for collaborative use by multiple viewers.
The HD-30 also offers a touch screen interface. Using NextWindow touch screen technology, the HD-30 enables users to interact via finger tips, gloves, or stylus. Barco's HD-30 is fully MIL-qualified in terms of vibration, shock, and EMI/EMC to withstand the harsh environmental and operational conditions within a mobile shelter. The HD-30 smoothly interfaces with other Barco products, such as Barco's rugged computing and video imaging solutions.
