Horizon Technology Introduces its Largest LCD Touch Screen To Date

LAKE FOREST, Calif. - Horizon Technology, an NEC Display Solutions integrator, announced on April 4 it had introduced its largest LCD touch monitor to date, the 57-in. MultiSync LCD5710, to the marketplace. The LCD5710 touch monitor connects through an HID-compliant USB interface that is Plug-and-Play, making installation very quick and easy, according to a Horizon press release.

Horizon is offering the large interactive displays to the retail and digital signage markets. Other applications include point-of-information, transportation, education, conference room, financial, gaming, restaurant, and exhibition and trade show markets.

"Once again, Horizon is on the forefront of innovation with NEC Display Solutions on large touch displays. The development of the touch application on the LCD5710 display is the direct result of strong demand from the interactive digital signage applications market and the increase in requests from our customer base," Horizon CEO Kurt Johnson said in a company statement.

Along with the LCD5710 touch-screen displays, Horizon offers a variety of sizes of touch solutions ranging from 2.5 in. to 57 in. in optical, SAW, resistive, capacitive, and infra-red technology. In addition to touch-screen products, Horizon's Display Solutions Group offers sunlight-readable and hi-bright displays, security glass integration, open-frame monitors, LCD kits, and LCD screens.
