NEC Display Solutions Broadens AccuSync Line with Wide Screen Displays

CHICAGO, IL - NEC Display Solutions of America, a provider of flat-panel desktop and commercial large-screen liquid-crystal display (LCD) displays, plasma displays and projectors, in late April announced upgrades to its popular AccuSync LCD Series. The new additions include the 19-in. AccuSync ASLCD193WXM, the 20-in. ASLCD203WXM, and the 22-in. ASLCD223WXM display.

NEC’s expansion of the AccuSync Series meets the growing trend of consumer, small- to medium-sized business and educational markets into wide-format computing. All three displays are Windows Vista certified and support the new wide-aspect settings in the new Microsoft operating system, NEC said.

The AccuSync ASLCD203WXM and AccuSync ASLCD223WXM feature 1680 x 1050 native resolutions while the ASLCD193WXM features 1440 x 900. These new displays are fit for business and multimedia use with integrated speakers, 5-millisecond response times and 1000:1 contrast ratios. In addition to traditional text, the new wide-screen displays are perfect for video-streaming, colorful graphics and wide spreadsheets. The display features NEC’s exclusive Ambix™ technology for digital and analog inputs.

“The proliferation of applications and Web-based content has really created the need for more screen real estate at home and in the work place,” Andy Anderson, Product Manager for NEC Display Solutions, said in a company statement. “While added horizontal screen space on these new AccuSync displays allows for easier multi-tasking, the feature set and industry-recognized quality deliver the performance and reliability consumers expect from the NEC brand.”

The new AccuSync Wide Series also is compatible with NEC’s NaViSet™ and NaViSet Administrator software. NaViSet offers an intuitive graphical user interface that allows the user to adjust On Screen Manager (OSM®) display settings via mouse and keyboard. This option allows users to set the monitor to a specific setting for color-critical programs. NaViSet Administrator allows one computer to control the entire network’s monitor settings, brightness, and power.

The new AccuSync Wide Series display includes the following features: No Touch Auto Adjust™, which eliminates the hassle of adjusting screen controls when connecting display to a new system; AccuColor control system with five pre-sets, which allow users to adjust on-screen color and customize the color accuracy of the monitor to a variety of standards; Integrated headphone jack; VESA compliance (mount display on walls or arm mount); Cable management (Hides cabling for a clear view of the display and reduces desktop clutter); Tilt (Customizable viewing angle of display for each user); RoHS & WEEE Compliance; EnergyStar 4.0® compliance; and a 3-year warranty, including parts and backlight, and 24/7 support from NEC.
