OSD Displays Announces 2008 EOY Earnings Report and 2009 Business Forecast

WINTER PARK, FL, January 21. OSD Displays, an OLED, PLED, and TFT manufacturer, has announced its 2008 end-of-year (EOY) annual results and sales forecast for 2009.

Sales show that the company's growth in 2008 met the EOY and Q4 projections previously announced.  OSD's new AMOLED technology has supplemented the overall loss of demand in legacy technologies for monochrome LCD displays and expected market trends in migration to color displays. Strategies for 2009 include a new variety of cost-competitive new display designs to meet cost-down objectives of existing and potential customers and added resources for industrial and commercial applications and customizations to continue diversification of clients and end-application markets.

Sales projections for 2009 are based on EOY 2008 actual performances with projections of conservative growth for 2009 based on developing applications and projects. Highlights of the reported 2009 sales projections were conservatively announced at 51% growth rate.

CEO Khaled R. Khuda, addressing overall market woes and OSD's current position and forecast, stated that "OSD has made early, and advanced, efforts in planning to diversify outside of consumer applications. OSD's early focus on developing industrial applications to continue growth in mid-2008 will pay dividends and help diversification to our investors. We feel that our 51% year-over-year growth for 2009 will meet or exceed growth forecasts as experienced successfully in 2007 and 2008."
